Tapestry for Women will provide a God-centered environment where women can gain complete and lasting freedom from addiction, destructive lifestyles and repeated incarceration.

“So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 8:36

Ministry Objectives

The mission of Tapestry for Women is total dependence on God in order to provide women in Hamblen County with the necessary resources to break the destructive cycle of repeated periods of incarceration.  We seek to provide safe and affordable housing, education, discipleship and love…a true place of refuge.  And to offer an environment of grace, in which participants are led to find spiritual, emotional and physical healing and wholeness, through a personal relationship with Christ.  A further goal of Tapestry for Women will be for the women we serve to experience restored relationships with their families.

Vision Statement

Tapestry for Women exists to lead women with tattered lives into fellowship with God, so that He can restore the beauty of His original design.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Core Values

No life is beyond redemption.

God has a purpose for every life.

God is Faithful.

Love heals.

Tapestry for Women desires to be solely dependent upon the Lord for wisdom, direction, discernment and provision.

“Nothing honors God more than a big dream that is way beyond our ability to accomplish. Why? Because there is no way we can take credit for it.  And nothing is better for our spiritual development than a big dream because it keeps us on our knees in raw dependence on God.  Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn’t just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God; it’s a mechanism whereby God accomplishes great things in us.”
